Since winning the WWA World Championship in 1999, Chad Sharpe has become synonymous with coming out of the turn with tires squealing. This board has sharper rails from end to end for more effective edge with the water, a rocker line that mimics the natural transition of the wake and carries more speed up the kicker, and fin placements that allow the board to react as quickly as the rider can control it. The new 2011 Viva has more contact points with the water than any other board in the Ronix line. The ride is nearly 1/2" wider in the belly with a similar tip and tail width versus Chad's previous boards. The additional sidecut just adds to the speedy vortex of Shangri-La that Chad was looking for. Effortless high speed carves and a hybrid rocker line that is comparable to his previous models makes for a board you never have to worry about keeping up with you.
-Round rails through the center with a angled bevel to create a mellower transitioned carve...and to prevent that all too familiar edge-catching digger.
-Thin profile reduces swing weight.
-Clean center bottom design leaves the wake and lands with more forward momentum...so there is no need for big channels to reduce the impact on landings.
-Side vents for a stronger grip up the wake.
-Carbon Technology - Ride the board the way it was intended to be ridden with carbon maintaining the original rocker line.
-Krypto Cable - Makes for a torsionally stiffer board...and makes the sidewalls the strongest part of the board, not the weakest.
-Mod Pour - This demanding alternative core with an incredibly high strength-to-weight ratio is made from Ronix's exclusive blend of carbon and atoms.
-Sintered base - The most durable non-stick compound Ronix has ever tested means serious glide on the water.
-Four fiberglass 1.0” fins and four fiberglass 0.8” Slider fins.
-Chad Sharpe designed and endorsed.
