Eight.3 XLarge Wakesurf Shaper w/ Boat Shims (1" Boat Shim & 2" Boat Shim)
Whomever came up with the phrase "less is more" has never used Eight.3's new XL product. It offers the biggest/cleanest wake, regardless of the size of your boat. If your boat has enough room to apply the 19.5" long running surface using the shims, there is no reason not to use the XL version of the Wakesurf Shaper.
XL Size Dimensions:
Boat surface length - 19.5"
Water surface length - 26"
Height - 12.5"
Depth - 9"
The result of the change (Eight.3 added concave through the center with a greater, more defined leading edge) is a more effective job of diverting a column of water, creating less drag on the boat with better fuel efficiency than last year's model. The Wakesurf Shaper is designed for the surfer who wants the biggest inboard swell (never wakesurf behind an outboard or an I/O).
A New Way to Maximize Your Wake
The hottest product to hit wakesurfing since the creation of the wakesurfer, this device easily mounts to the lower/back point of the starboard or port side of your boat hull for a premier surf wake on either side. Ronix has tested every aspect of wakesurfing using waterski boats, crossover boats, older V-Drives, and newer V-Drives...and one thing is constant; this is a game-changer.
In addition to turning wakes into swells, you'll no longer have to weight your boat unevenly, which is the best part. Gone are the days of filling and draining your bags to the port or starboard side. Keep it all in the center.
There has never been this type of aftermarket innovation that makes this kind of difference that can so easily be mounted to the side of the hull. With a built-in handle, the Wakesurf Shaper is easy to move to either side of your boat, and is best paired with a loaded Eight.3 ballast system.
The shim is a simple attachment between the Wakesurf Shaper and a boat's hull. Every hull shape is different. Some are mostly flat and don't require a shim. Others have a step hull and require a 1" shim. And...other boats have a more pronounced step and need a 2" shim. In some cases you might need both shims for a 3" gap between the hull and your Wakesurf Shaper. For installation...it is recommend the Wakesurf Shaper be 80% subgmerged when your boat is properly weighted, and as close to the stern as your hull will allow.
Wakesurf Shaper Placement
The adhesive fastener strips that attach to the boat are intentionally 6" longer than the Wakesurf Shaper. This allows for further adjustment towards the bow or the stern of the boat, greatly altering the shape of the wake. When closer to the stern, the wake becomes steeper and deeper. Closer towards the bow and the wake gets a longer sweet spot. Who says you can't surf tandem?
*Comes complete with: Wakesurf Shaper, 2 adjustable shims, 4 adhesive fastener strips, instructional USB, and an owner's manual.
